The following are the journal entries for Tuesday through Friday from Georgia Christal. These apparently were short busy days so she didn’t get a chance to write much so they are compiled here into one post. For those who might be new to this blog, please read, About, and also Georgia for a brief explanation of these blog entries.

Kitchen stove delivered today. Enjoyed a good, home cooked meal. Sat on the floor with the TV box as our table but we did have fresh flowers.

Wednesday, July 3, 1991

Waiting for furniture. David brings more flowers, expecting the dining table to be here.

Thursday, July 4, 1991

Independence Day! Don’t see any U.S. flags flying high though. Still waiting for the furniture. Finally delivered at 6:30PM. Marble to the dining table was broken. Bed is wonderful!!

Friday, July 5, 1991

Back to IKEA. Return broken marble for new one. Bring it home - it’s too dark. Boxes everywhere in our apartment.

Editor’s Notes

Seems Georgia was quite busy this week so I decided to put a few days entries together in one post. Looks like she had a little more time to write over the weekend so we will pick up there next time.

One thing mother loved about living in Europe was the availability of fresh flowers daily. The marble table that they finally settled down with is now the table that resides in the cabin in Colorado.
