English Breakfast
After a lovely English breakfast, David proceeded to his Saturday meeting (on the golf course) and I took the Underground to London City Centre to check the location of the American Church and visit shops along the way.

David and I departed early AM for London, England. Business meeting on Friday and part of Saturday with the balance of the time – pleasure. Our flight arrived late and without David’s golf clubs. Although we were rushed to make his first meeting we had to complete lost baggage forms along with other Dan Air passengers with the same problem.
Apparently one of the cargo trailers never made it on board the plane. Off on the Gatwick Express train to London Victoria Station. David rushes to his meeting to his meeting and I remain there with the luggage and visit the many shops in the station.
As I’m waiting at our meeting place for David to return at 12:30PM, an American Airlines lady asks me to move from the area. It seems an older gentlemen had left an old pocket recorder of his on the desk kand they thought it could have been a bomb.
He returned for it and all was well. David returned from his meeting (late) and after a nice lunch I went to the hotel and he proceeded to his next meeting. Soon after I arrived – so did his golf clubs. Friday evening we ventured from the hotel to enjoy a meal at “The Three Magpies” pub – a very delicious and reasonable place for London.

Church was great. The organist gave us a fine display of how the pipe organ can sound.
I attended a more formal coffee with Iris, Soneda and Denise with the Amercan Women’s Group of Paris – a fine organization but too expensive to join.
I attended a more centrally oriented coffee with the ladies of the church residing in and around my area of town. Very convenient to me – only 1 train stop away
David left at 5:30am for a day trip to Milano, Italy and returned home at midnight.
I attended Bible Study Fellowship and began studying Israel and the Minor Prophets. It’s a new venture for me but one I feel will be spiritually rewarding.

Our boxes arrive at 9:30AM. What a treat! It’s like Christmas. The apartment is a mess again but we had to open each one to see if anything was damaged. All was O.K. We celebrated with a champagne brunch – what fun! The afternoon finds us back at IKEA purchasing a bed for bedroom 2.

I venture quickly in the early AM to the market and back home to wait for our boxes. Late morning we are told they are in customs now and would be delivered Monday or Tuesday, next week. David pleaded to get them delivered this afternoon and they said they would try??
It’s 4:30PM. My intercom rings. I answer and it is TNT Express with our shipment. I push the key to unlock the lobby door telling the rustling below and assume he is making our delivery via the elevator.
I’m so excited! What’s taking so long? Out of curiosity, I gaze out my front bedroom window to the street to see if he is unloading them, only to see the truck driving away. I phone David and after several phone calls to the company, we find the driver refused to deliver to the 3rd floor. They say he no longer has a job????

Chase’s birthday. It was to be the day of delivery of our boxes from the U.S. No, the carrier calls late afternoon. The boxes are at Charles De Gaulle airport but the need more paperwork to justify our residence in France. David faxes the paperwork and delivery is scheduled for Friday.
