David Flies to London
David flew back to London and Portsmouth for a 2 day trip missing his 8 AM flight from Paris because of a delay on the RER. A train driver had been held at gunpoint. He finally arrived London at 1:30PM.
I volunteered at the American Church to help prepare food for Tuesday’s annual program “Bloom Where You Are Planted” - a program sponsored by the Church for newcomers to Paris.

The American Church - Sunday, June 16, 1991
Back to The American Church. They had a visiting choir from the U.S. (children). Went to the Festival du Vent (Festival of the Wind) at La Defense. Watched parasailers on boards on wheels. Anything that had to do with the wind was there.
Editor’s Notes
They visited so many different churches over in Europe but they did enjoy going to The American Church. One thing I remember Georgia doing is having all her music tapes and services mailed over from her church in Texas so they could listen to the service Sunday morning. She would even print out sheet music (hymns) to sing in their apartment.

American Church - Sunday, June 9, 1991
Walked to the Metro (subway) across the Seine River and made our way to the American Church in downtown Paris. Really like the church. In the afternoon we checked out more thoroughly the town of St. Germain En Laye.
Back to La Defense to a fast food place. Ordered a slice of pizza “to go” and didn’t even think of sitting in their chairs. We now know it is a less expensive price for food “to go” and you don’t sit in their chairs.
