I really can’t believe it’s been another year, again. So today would have been Georgia’s 66th birthday today, and while I haven’t posted any from her journals over the previous 365 days, there really hasn’t been a day that goes by that we don’t think about her life. Deb and I talk about her often, but as is usually the case, life has been insanely busy, leaving little time to update Georgia’s journal. Hopefully there will be some time over the next 365 days, but for today, we think about her birthday today, a reminder of how quickly time goes by.

Today would have been Georgia’s 65th birthday. While we weren’t there that day, i can remember the details of her last birthday with family gathered at her house. There still aren’t very many days that go by that I don’t think about her, today, it’s for a birthday wish.

Plans of camping this birthday weekend of ours were discouraged somewhat by a cold, rainy weekend but mostly because of David’s visit to the doctor for a diagnosis of the flu.

My birthday. Well, a most unusual one of playing nursemaid to a very sick patient.

Sick patient remained at home and I traveled to The American Church – only to realize as I boarded the train that I was going to be very late, since we had forgotten to bring our clocks forward by 1 hour last night. But I went anyway and got in on the last of the sermon and the last song, plus listening to a visiting choir after the service.

David’s birthday. Lot’s of cards and wishes had been received the past few days for both of us. David is feeling better but still not working full days. Bought him a Peugeot bike for his birthday. The RER was slow this morning, on strike again. Wasn’t running in the evening. David takes a bus from work toward St. Germain only to have it terminate in Rueil. I jump in the car and manage to find the spot he has been dropped at. What a birthday!

(Oct. 25) – Bryan’s birthday. We waited as late as we could to call, but about 10:30PM (4:30PM USA) we spoke to Bryan with lots of birthday wishes. We could have talked forever.

My first time at the wheel of our car. We decided to go and wash the car and I decided I could drive it. I’m not an expert yet but feel more comfortable about it. we attended a Halloween party with the Young Couples Group in downtown Paris.
We took the RER and Metro in full costume, managing to get looks, gestures and comments from several.
Editorial Note
I tried my best to find a photo of the two of them on the train in their costumes but never found one. I will keep looking, can’t imaging what that looked like.
