Camping in Brugge, Belgium

Thursday, April 2nd 1992

David flies to Madrid for two days.

Saturday, April 4th 1991

Depart St. Germain 9am for camping trip to the wonderful city of Brugge, Belgium, camping on Lac Loppem (a beautiful lake) outside of Brugge. The town was a smaller version of Brussels with a smaller Grand Palace, many beautiful buildings, a cathedral in which we “walked” to the top of the Belfry for a beautiful view, beautiful canals, and the weather held out beautifully for us.

No English Churches in Verdun

Sunday, February 2, 1992

No English speaking churches in Verdun so we drove to the American Cemetery located in St. Mihiel, France (where 4,000 Americans from the war are buried) and had our own private worship in the chapel there.  Continued on the road back home driving thru mountains, valleys, and more farm land.

Beautiful conutryside!  Nice weather today also.

David Flies to Bristol, UK

Thursday, October 17, 1991

David flies to Bristol, U.K. returning on Friday.

Friday, October, 18, 1991

It truly [sic] Fall weather – cold, rain, wet, low about 40F and wind chill even colder.  I begin to make David’s pirate hat for a Halloween party this Saturday only to realize we forgot the feathers in the U.S.  David says “surely we can buy some here”.  Easy for him to say.

It’s not like I have a Michael’s or Moskatel’s store around the corner.
